I’m not a fan of 80s style pop which is pretty much the path trodden by Spark, with nods to a less exciting Duran Duran or Depeche Mode. Ten songs which pretty much follow the same pattern both musically and lyrically (unchallenging melodic electro dwelling on the protagonists angst at a relationship breakdown), and one instrumental which at least offers some respite from the standard fare on offer, with a touch of Kraftwerk and bizarrely Marillion; but the song doesn’t really build into anything more than a repetition of the same refrain. Not really my cup of tea. Sorry. Ian Pickens
