Hercules – Knives Of Kush : parts 1 and 4 (Radical Comics)
Like a CGI film in comic book form, Hercules – Knives Of Kush tells a story of a group of outsiders employed to protect the Pharoah and his people from suspected spies in the palace, who are in turn passing on key information to the enemy.
It is a pretty interesting story though the static graphics are never brought to life, which is a shame as it has the potential to be very gripping. However, kind of like the first Mummy film (a good idea in principle), by the time we are two comics in there is little plot progression, Hercules is barely part of it and an orgy and fight scene are the only interesting things about it. Disappointingly, a slow burner; certainly too slow to hold my interest. LAUREN BARLEY
