The Belgian H8000 scene is still alive. Blood Redemption are living proof of that. Although in this day and age H8000 has become more a thing of geography than it gives you an idea of style. There’s nothing to be found from the masters of H8000 hardcore, like Congress and Liar in Blood Redemption’s sound. These fellows are from the 21st century. Swiftly changing lanes between a catchy Killswitch Engage sound and a hard-hitting Darkest Hour. The clean vocals and musical foundation are great, but the grunts could have used a bit of a punch. Overall a nice CD and a good start for new singer Nabil Sanaullah. Martijn Welzen
