Tell Them Johnny Wadd is Here is a lavishly drawn, sleazy private eye comic book tale based on a ‘blue’ 1976 film by the same name (starring none other than John Holmes!). Taking this into consideration it’s much easier to get, from what direction this titillating action comic is coming from… mind the pun. This limited edition 20page full colour release is a good hoot to read and despite my initial reservations is quite gripping. Ladies man and private dick… ahem… Johnny Wadd embarks on a quest to track down an old friends missing wife in Mexico… considering Johnny Wadd’s investigative style is essentially banging broads and smashing skulls he soon finds himself embroiled in a world of drug trafficking, deception, sleaze and murder. Well written and beautifully executed Tell Them Johnny Wadd is Here is well worth a read… after all sex, drugs, violence and comic books is truly the perfect combination! Ioan
