I just love how Malvolence records made sure we got both of Septic Christ’s albums, as you really get an idea of where this young German band is coming from and more importantly are aiming for and hoping to go. From the off, you can hear the better production and singer Bobby has become much more confident in his role as frontman. The metal core screams have made way for a more thrashy way of singing, and the SOD influences, the life-blood of ‘Infected Existence’ have been pushed back a little to giving way to a more cross-over feel, not unlike Municipal Waste. Even the cover art and lyrics have improved, making Septic Christ one to watch out for, placing them at the forefront of the new generation of thrash bands emerging from the European mainland. Now they just need to aim to find their own, true Septic Christ sound… Martijn Welzen
