What if the guys in Tankard woke up one day and found out that they were possessed by Chutlhu, and that pure evil would nest in their hearts for all eternity? How’s that for a hangover? ‘Evil Through Darkness’ would be next bastard child on the band’s discography and while plaguing the planet, Belgian based Evil Shepherd, would devour Sadus and Destruction along the way. There’s usually a lighter side to thrash, but Evil Shepherd don’t waste any of their inhumane energy on light or heat or fun. Their focus is entirely based around, and on summoning the devil. Leaning heavily on the blackened thrash of the 80s, it’ll mostly appeal to the metal heads who already gave their soul to the dark lord 25 years ago. And yes, that includes me. Martijn Welzen
