The Afterblight Chronicles: Operation Motherland
In this brilliant follow up to School’s Out, we find Lee Keegan getting himself into more trouble than ever before. This time he’s gone to Iraq to find and rescue his father. Of course, this means that Lee himself nearly gets killed and in need of rescue… several times. This young man is a mess. Eventually he reconnects with his chums from St. Mark’s school, including the determined and lovely Matron and the eleven-year-old cold-blooded killer we know as Rowles. Blood is spilled, enemies are killed, and general chaos ensues. Until the final chapter, that is, where Scott Andrews ties this story up quite nicely. So far, no addition to Abaddon’s Afterblight Chronicles has been disappointing. Every author is top notch, writing edge-of-your-seat stories with lively casts and amazing plot twists. Operation Motherland is another wonderful chapter in this universe and should totally be on your summer reading list.
