Deadkill – Deadkill 7” (Good To Die)
I think it’s amazing how musicians are capable of switching styles when they form a new band… We all know that the members of Kill Your Idols are now kicking some old school black metal ass with Black Anvil, and how two of the insane thrash kids from Light This City are now playing great punk rock with Heartsounds. It’s exactly the same with Deadkill. With members coming from such diverse bands as metal act Himsa and post punk band Absolute Monarchs, Deadkill perfectly tap into 80s anthemic hardcore, hardciore that’s right up the Black Flag and Circle Jerks alley, with tiny touches of Poison Idea’s heaviness and the Sex Pistols chaos. Four hardcore songs, as they once were and need it to be again. Martijn Welzen
