Naruto Shippuden: Box Set 7 DVD (Manga Entertainment)
Squad 10 shinobis are a ninja team with incredible powers… Shinobi of the leaf are a dedicated outfit. The Akatsuki pair of Hidan (and the even more deadly and powerful Kakuzu) are causing problems for squad 10’s plans to finish them. After a mind blowing battle Hidan is able to use jutsu to out smart and kill squad 10’s much loved leader… or was it a self sacrifice? The magic powers of the ninjas and Akatsuki out weigh the hand to hand combat, as any self respecting manga expert will know, with lots of OTT injuries that jutsu makes right/heals to enable the carnage to continue. Squad 10 return with a new leader, and plan revenge for their painful loss, followed by a bright understudy mastering powers even stronger than what has been seen before. There seems to be a lot of thought provoking messages behind the storyline, and maybe some ‘thinking mans’ material giving off a message to be heard. The awfully cheesy manga music is one thing I find it hard to get my head around, and it always seems to be a little intense at the beginning of these storylines… but all unfolds making perfect sense, and leaving the urge to keep watching… and at 259mins total (that’s over 4 hours worth of viewing!) you do keep watching! The revenge battle is long, with amazing styles of jutsu used and created, and the constant change of will squad 10 be defeated or will they triumph, it keeps you hanging on a bit, but in a good way. Understanding the shinobi way is also a trial for the mind, but with concentration it comes…. JUTSU STYLE…..! Mark Freebase
