I’m not usually a fan of the unexpected and I’m not keen on surprises, but I’ll make an exception for All Them Witches, as their musical fusion of Muse, old school Metalcore, Ministry, White Zombie and European power metal is just about the best cure for the misery of a British Summer that I’ve stumbled across. On paper, it shouldn’t work, but somehow the Witches strip everything down and gradually rebuild each and every song until it does, until each tune makes you grin like a junkie with the keys to the medicine cupboard. If All Them Witches are the future of rock-n-roll (and I can’t help but think that they are) then it’s time to invest in some shades, because the future is going to bright.
