This manga film is acting, with no animation! A good take… The subtitles will make you concentrate, but give a deep atmospheric feel to the oriental out put. Basically carrying on from the first Gantz movie and featuring Japanese stars from the movies ‘Letters From Iwo Jima’, ‘Death Note’ and ‘Detroit Metal City’ it sees the fighting continue. The Gantz is a black orb which controls and orders all the missions (with no escaping until completion). With members of the Gantz team dying one by one Kato is forced to keep fighting the aliens as he is close to reaching the score he will need to resurrect his dead college and friend! (The more you fight and win, the more points you get to spend). Forced to do so he is close to breaking point but helped by a love! Lots of manga magic and powers top off the crazy fighting scenes, and some kids will probably believe they too can achieve this… Good manga fiction with a good continued storyline.
