Doctor Who: The Crimson Hand

Doctor Who: The Crimson Hand – Dan McDaid, Martin Geraghty, Mike Collins (Panini)
‘The Crimson Hand’ has taken a while to arrive, but at long last, the Tenth Doctor’s continuing adventures are finally here, and folks, believe me, ‘The Crimson Hand’ was definitely worth waiting for. Boasting an introduction from Russell T. Davies, the world famous saviour of Doctor Who (as far as the TV show is concerned), and a commentary from all involved in the creation of the story-arc that became the ‘The Crimson Hand’, that charts the tales development from inception to fruition, ‘The Crimson Hand’ feels like the most complete Who graphic novel yet. Collecting the Tenth Doctor’s complete adventures with Magenta Pryce, ‘….Hand’, follows them from one corner of the Universe to the next, from Stockbridge to the Graveworld, from Sydney to ….Uh, the London Underground, as The Doctor tries to help Magenta remember who she is, but the closer they get to finally answering that elusive question, the more dangerous their journey becomes, as the realisation that they might not like the answers they’ll eventually find slowly begins to dawn on both The Doctor and Magenta. Tightly plotted, frantically paced and with artwork that’s never less than stunning, ‘The Crimson Hand’ perfectly captures the comic adventures of The Doctor, and even though the format may be different, it really is business as usual for the Doctor, and ‘The Crimson Hand’ is compulsive, and compulsory, reading for any and all fans of Gallifrey’s favourite son. Absolutely essential… Tim Mass Movement
