Damn, I haven’t heard the name Midway Still in a while. Back in the nineties these guys were at the forefront of the whole melodic punk / indie wave that seduced an entire generation, me included. Along with their contemporaries, bands like Mega City 4 and Guns ‘N’ Wankers, they cranked out a couple of records of high energy melodic punk rock that sucked you in, chewed you up and spat you out with a massive grin on your face, and even though they may be a little older, it’s nice to know that nothings changed. ‘Always Ends’ is business as usual for Midway Still, it’s a record rammed full of sing-a-long, dance like you mean it, nineties style punk rock that’s proof positive that the old bands are still the best bands.
