Spanish metal 4 piece Absentia are heavy! Heavy metal with tinges of black metal and a definitive symphonic edge. Moody and atmospheric music played to a very high calibre, as opening track ‘All This Hell’ demonstrates. The production increases the power of music delivered helping Absentia’s big deep sound penetrate the stereo surround and allowing clarity to the scathing (but also at times amazing melody led) vocal cries of guitarist/mainman Julian Diaz. ‘The End Of The Line’ demonstrates a more melodic end to the symphonic assault and the female vocals give that extra depth.
