To make sure there’s no confusion about this film. This is NOT the blockbuster ‘Thor’ which hit the cinemas in 2011. This one’s is a bit older, from 2009, and in all honesty it’s plain boring. Thor, as played by former ‘Home Improvement’ actor Zachery Ty Bryan, arrives on a remote island with a few of his tribesmen. All of a sudden Wolfmen appear turning more and more vikings into dogfood. A fight for survival, and the fight to escape the island, begins. At that point the whole film falls into a coma, from which it doesn’t wake until the final few minutes, when you’ll be woken by a horrible, epilepsy inducing fight scene. It’s not the, often, poor acting, lack of special effects or monotonous scenery, the story just never really leaves the ground… ever. Besides, you’ll know where the story’s heading once you understand what it is they are after. I only picked up a lesson in Norse mythology, but could have easily read that on Wikipedia….
