The most appropriately named album of the issue. Dense, feedback soaked slabs of noise that sounds like a city sized factory in full production. By the end of opening track ‘Illinois’ my ears felt well and truly pummelled, with six more tracks to go! Although firmly rooted in the drone/doom genres, BSON also incorporate elements of hardcore (ala Converge/Integrity) and Blackened Crust to produce a monolithic chunk of heaviness. Ian Pickens
