Heavy duty metal from this Danish trio. As you have probably come to expect from Scandinavian metal its rather good. Ten tracks of pure metal which reminds me somewhat of Grand Magus without the overtly stoner/Viking overtones. There are elements of both traditional metal (Mercyful Fate/Priest) and more recent metal warriors such as High on Fire. Lyrically the band deftly side step the traditional Nordic subject matter of many of their contemporaries and delve into deeper metaphorical territory of mortality. A strong debut from a band worth watching. Ian Pickens
