Another issue of Mass Movement, another Bleach disk! Bleach is a well known franchise for Anime lovers and although a bit dense and impenetrable for newcomers it’s well worth checking out from the beginning if you like your anime fix to be demonic and action packed. Ichigo is back and still a temporary Demon slayer and this series encompasses this newly promoted role to its fullest. It’s useless me trying to explain the plot of a series that is now 130 episodes in, so rest assured the storytelling is still pretty good, however the animation is becoming a little bit simplistic and worryingly crude, almost as if the series may well be losing quality thanks to the sheer quantity of output. The humour’s still pretty sharp and I know some people have criticised the pace of this particular series thanks to a lot of slow development and no actual big moments, but I think this series rattles along nicely. For new comers start at the beginning, for fans it’s more of the same. ALEX
