Proper punk for proper punks I think is the best way to describe what these guys are all about! Playing punk rock for over 20 years has had a weird effect on The Destructors… they got pretty bloody good at it! I think this is the third Destructors release I’ve had for review this year so clearly they have no intention of hanging up the Mohawk and patched jacket just yet! I’d never heard of Gripper before but with song names like ‘Cunty Nose’ and ‘How’s Ya Farva’ I won’t forget them in a hurry! The Destructors sociopolitical ‘Neutron Bomb’ and ‘Third World War’… not forgetting the quality tune ‘Bombs are Metal’. First and foremost a ballsy punk rock record secondly and perhaps most importantly a very nicely balanced split CD! – IOAN
