Glamour Of The Kill – The Summoning CD (Afflicted)
This four-piece from York have everything going for them, and have had since the release of their EP in 2008. They’ve got the looks and the sound to launch them to whatever planet they’d like to dwell on. They’ve got the sugar coated melodies we got to know from Avenged Sevenfold so well, and they’ve got a solid foundation of rock, that’s torn apart between 80s sleaze and this millennium’s emo-rock, with colourful sparks of metal and hardcore. It’s probably too slick for most of the Mass Movement readers, but I like it. It’s like Chupa-Chups for the ears, sweet and available in many flavours. Soon to be seen in a stadium near you!
