Loudness

Loudness have been the reigning kings of heavy metal in Japan since their formation in 1980. The band has released nearly 30 studio albums plus 2 dozen live and compilation albums and a smattering of singles and EPs over the years. At present, Loudness consists of guitarist/founder Akira Takasaki, longtime vocalist Minoru Niihara, drummer Masayuki Suzuki, and bassist Masayoshi Yamashita. Brazil 2012 tour shirt.

Part of what we like do with Mass Movement involves spreading madness and insanity far and wide, and in particular the insanity that often walks hand in hand with thrash and crossover. That’s the reason we’ve always had a soft spot for Amsterdam based The Shining, and just like us, they like spreading madness everywhere they go. NYHC, the way it once was, pure, in-your-face, uncut and most importantly from New York City. Many bands have disappeared, some have grown beyond the streets of the boroughs. Not Setback though! With these guys, it’s not about a lack of talent or for want of trying, they just don’t want to, they don’t want to leave. Hardcore is a way of life for these guys, the band who recently dropped the incredible ‘Step Up Your Game’ on an unsuspecting world, a record that forms the band’s 2012 hardcore-statement.
