And so another Punk & Disorderly festival is over. A long weekend of no-nonsense punk rock in Berlin, or should that read punk rock nonsense? Who knows and who cares, this is one of Europe’s longer running punk rock annuals and it has been firmly on my agenda right from the start, in fact I haven’t missed a single one yet.

Fear Factory – Rock City, Nottingham 27/10/12
Rock City is packed tonight. The upstairs balcony is full and the heat is starting to kick in as the eager crowd, feverish with anticipation gather to capture just one of two headline slots Fear Factory are playing on their present UK jaunt. The intro tape kicks in… an industrial wall of noise, cranking up the volume of the already pumped crowd, all of whom are rising to the bait.

The Shining Brazil tour 2012
Part of what we like do with Mass Movement involves spreading madness and insanity far and wide, and in particular the insanity that often walks hand in hand with thrash and crossover. That’s the reason we’ve always had a soft spot for Amsterdam based The Shining, and just like us, they like spreading madness everywhere they go.
